Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster

Here for your consideration is a delightfully preserved 1957 300SL Roadster presented in it’s original & rarely seen color combination of grey-white with original blue leather interior. The odometer has registered only 19,313 original miles during it’s 5 owner history with the last owner having properly stored the car for 20 years prior to our acquisition in 2005. Upon the awakening of this sleeping jewel, she was treated to a complete inspection & comprehensive servicing by Pinky Winther of Carmel, California who is the technical advisor for the Mercedes Gullwing Group as well as an owner & long term 300SL restoration master. Attesting to Pinky’s mastery & the incredible condition of this SL, is the flawless 3500 mile trip from Carmel to Biddeford, Maine made by my partner & I in May of 2006. This 10 day cross country sojourn took us through all types driving terrain from high speed highways to the twisties in the Rockies & through all elevation levels. The 300 rode & drove like a dream throughout.

Over the next few years we brought the condition of the car up a notch or two by having the original canvas top replaced, sending out the original Becker radio to the Becker factory for refurbishing, relpacing the age cracked steering wheel, having the auxillary set of chrome SL wheels sent out for truing & new tires, balancing the driveshaft including new u-joints, renewing transmission bearings & seals, radiator recore & replacing the aged tar mat & carpet in the trunk. Needless to say this SL is ready for it’s next cross country trip, ralley or the SL Convention.

The car comes complete with the auxillary factory hard top & stand, European headlights & the original factory painted/polished wheels clad with original size Michelin 6.70-15 X tires.

Mini Cooper 1275 “S”

Here is a genuine Mini Cooper 1275-S in factory Bright Red with it’s original black interior, MiniLite wheels & only 10,997 one-owner miles!!! This is quite possibly the nicest, lowest mile, unmodified Mini Cooper ‘S’ in the world!!!

The engine is original, factory stock & never opened. The SU carbs, aircleaner, radiator, manifolds, under hood insulation & factory green engine paint “scream” of originality. The engine & drivetrain operate as showroom new without incident or excuse. Quick starting, smooth shifting with incredible power & a hair raising exhaust note, this Mini draws a crowd & general admiration wherever it shows up.

The interior condition is near flawless with no wear showing on any of the seating, carpet, dash, flooring or headliner surfaces…further testifying to the low mileage & originality of the car. The steering wheel was changed by the importing dealer to an aluminum spoked mahogany wheel. All gauges, speedometer, original optional AM/FM/SW radio & optional fog lights work as new.

The car comes with a custom built tilt trailer made specifically for this car that was used by the original owner to transport the Mini to & from car shows.

If you want the nicest, original, unmolested/unmodified, lowest mileage Mini Cooper ‘S’ in the world, THIS IS IT!

Nash Healey Convertible

This wonderful little “time capsule” started life in Atlanta, Ga. & still sports the original selling dealer’s logo badge on the trunk lid. The odometer has registered only 40,000 original miles as the last several years were spent on display in a southern museum. Starting & running as a new 61 Rambler would, the engine & drive train are silky smooth, being happy as could be just putting around town or at 65mph + on the interstate (getting 22mpg + all the while).

The interior is in unmolested, unrestored , almost new original condition. The vinyl & stitching are still supple & the seating is very comfortable. The carpets have worn like iron showing little to no wear. The original top was worn & shrunken from being in the down position most of it’s life so the old girl warranted the installation of a very high end canvas top with new weather stripping & zip out rear window.

All of the glass & bright work are in A-1 condition with the exception of a small parking lot deformity on the left corner of the rear bumper. Mechanically the car is extremely sound leaving no doubt that she could go cross country in style without a hitch! Great even compression & strong oil pressure close the deal!!!

I could write volumes  about the car but you’ll find out just how great this “Little Nash Rambler” is the first time you drive it!!!

Newport Convertible

Fins, you say you want fins? Here is an opportunity to own one of the last Virgil Exner designed Chrysler “Big Fin” cars from the 60’s. In addition to being extremely rare at a total production of only 2,135 units, this model also won the prestigious “Mobil Fuel Economy Run” in 1961 at 19.99 MPG. Only 46 of the 1961 Newport convertibles have been accounted for.

This particular Newport owned, by the same gentleman for 20 years, benefitted from an extremely high quality restoration in preparation for the famous Barrett Jackson sale. A retired American Airlines pilot purchased the car at Barrett Jackson in 1998 thoroughly enjoying her until passing her on to us this spring.

Whether showing her off in local parades & car shows or long distance cruising, the 361 V-8 with the push button torqueflite trans pulls & drives as showroom new. The power steering & brakes, radio & clock add a few more creature comforts to the ride. This is a no rust, original sheet metal car that was meticulously & correctly restored.

Own the “Little Sister” of the Chrysler “letter cars” for 1/4th the price!!!

Oldsmobile Super 88 Convertible

SORRY, THIS ONE IS SOLD…SOLD…SOLD!!!

1956 Oldsmobile Super 88 Convertible–A Purist’s Dream!! Everything on this car is to correct Super 88 standards. Body-off the frame restored 20 years ago to its factory delivered specification, including a perfectly duplicated interior right down to the stitching & the correct cut-away rear bumper with exhaust splitters. As they say…”It’s in the details”! Driven 1,400 miles in the 2010 inaugural “NW Passage” Vintage Rallye from Coeur d’Alene to Banff. Meticulously maintained for Show & Go.

A dry, Pacific NW car from new with documentation dating to the1960’s. Finished in its factory delivered colors of Festival Red w/Alcan White exterior and color coordinated red & white interior and white convertible top, it has Power Steering & Brakes, Power Top, and Power Seat. It has its original 1956 convertible top boot that came with the car when new, which is in fantastic condition. The 324 c.i. motor was rebuilt 2,000 miles ago from a bare, magna-fluxed OEM matching numbered block. It sports five P225/75 R15 Goodyear 3″ wide whitewall radial tires on the original painted steel wheels with the OEM one-year-only Fiesta “spinner hubcaps”.

Durings its body off restoration all the chrome was replated and the stainless trim polished. At the same time all cosmetics and mechanicals were renewed as you might expect, including a new top & motor, all new rubber gaskets for the doors-trunk-convertible top rails & weatherstrips; new brakes, exhaust, generator, fuel pump, shocks & suspension components. The signal seeking original Wonderbar AM radio with foot-pedal station select switch was rebuilt. The fuel tank was removed and restored.

Everything on this car works, including the Heater/Defroster & Fan, the Vent Pulls, the Directionals, Wipers, Horn, Clock, Speedometer & Odometer, and the Lites (including the dash Hi Beam & Cold Engine lights, the Dash Ashtray lights, the Trunk, and the Rear Passenger Courtesy lights).

This is the nicest 56 Olds Super 88 convertible you’re likely to find if what you are seeking is a correct in appearance, totally useable example. The gentleman who restored this told me it was in amazingly well preserved condition when he acquired it and had virtually no metal issues, having been in long-term storage when he got it out of its storage shed. The frame and underbody are magnificent, and the panel fit & smoothness are remarkable. I’ve had it for 10 years and put nearly 10,000 miles on it, using it in our annual July 4th Parade where it always “strikes up the band”.

Offered at $69,950 or Best Offer
