Description:

Fins, you say you want fins? Here is an opportunity to own one of the last Virgil Exner designed Chrysler “Big Fin” cars from the 60’s. In addition to being extremely rare at a total production of only 2,135 units, this model also won the prestigious “Mobil Fuel Economy Run” in 1961 at 19.99 MPG. Only 46 of the 1961 Newport convertibles have been accounted for.

This particular Newport owned, by the same gentleman for 20 years, benefitted from an extremely high quality restoration in preparation for theĀ famous Barrett Jackson sale. A retired American Airlines pilot purchased the car at Barrett Jackson in 1998 thoroughly enjoying her until passing her on to us this spring.

Whether showing her off in local parades & car shows or long distance cruising, the 361 V-8 with the push button torqueflite trans pulls & drives as showroom new. The power steering & brakes, radio & clock add a few more creature comforts to the ride. This is a no rust, original sheet metal car that was meticulously & correctly restored.

Own the “Little Sister” of the Chrysler “letter cars” for 1/4th the price!!!
