Description: This wonderful little “time capsule” started life in Atlanta, Ga. & still sports the original selling dealer’s logo badge on the trunk lid. The odometer has registered only 40,000 original miles as the last several years were spent on display in a southern museum. Starting & running as a new 61 Rambler would, the engine & drive train are silky smooth, being happy as could be just putting around town or at 65mph + on the interstate (getting 22mpg + all the while). The interior is in unmolested, unrestored , almost new original condition. The vinyl & stitching are still supple & the seating is very comfortable. The carpets have worn like iron showing little to no wear. The original top was worn & shrunken from being in the down position most of it’s life so the old girl warranted the installation of a very high end canvas top with new weather stripping & zip out rear window. All of the glass & bright work are in A-1 condition with the exception of a small parking lot deformity on the left corner of the rear bumper. Mechanically the car is extremely sound leaving no doubt that she could go cross country in style without a hitch! Great even compression & strong oil pressure close the deal!!! I could write volumes about the car but you’ll find out just how great this “Little Nash Rambler” is the first time you drive it!!! |
